Cathy Bowen Phares
Cathy has been surrounded by Art as long as she can
remember. Her greatest artistic influence being her father
Ron Bowen, an award winning painter and photographer.
Visiting museums, painting, sketching, and endless
experimenting with various mediums, was daily life for her
as a child. After a successful 30+ year career in Medical
Management, she is now retired. She enjoys workshops,
classes and personal instruction as she continues her
growth as a full-time, award winning artist. Her work has
been found in local galleries, retail stores, solo and group
shows. The majority of her work is in private collections
throughout the country as she finds great joy in working
with clients on commissioned art. Cathy is an active
member of Mountain Brook Art Association having served
as President in 2023, as well as Alabama Plein Air Artists.
Cathy and her husband David, reside in Homewood, AL
where she enjoys daily painting in her home studio.
